Fall Is in the Air! What Do You Love Most About Fall? | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant

Yes, the summer season can be fun. However, right about now, most of us are ready for fall to finally arrive!

Are you ready for fall? As a Pink Zebra consultant, I want to share some tips on how you can make this fall season the best one yet with family and friends!

Let’s take a look at some ways you can be sure to have some family fun this fall season:

Anyone Up for a Scary Story?

Get in the mood for Halloween by having a family campfire at night where you can roast marshmallows and share scary stories! Better yet, turn it into a camping trip in the backyard, pitching a tent and camping outdoors for the night.

Let’s Get to Cooking

I don’t know about you, but there is nothing like the smell of an apple pie (or apple anything really) that makes me automatically think and feel as though fall has officially arrived.

Therefore, host a cooking night with family and friends where you cook some of your favorite apple recipes. You can even make it an all-day affair by going apple picking first and then coming home and cooking those delicious recipes with the apples you picked!

Make Time for the Outdoors

The fall season has probably one of the best average temperatures all year—it is not too hot, yet not too cold. Therefore, take advantage of this perfect weather by having more days outside than in.

You can rake a big pile of leaves to jump into, go for a hike or even create your own scavenger hunt in your own backyard! Plus, the fresh air will do you and your family some good before having to be trapped indoors during the winter season.

Now that fall is just around the corner, you know what is next? The holiday season is about to begin! Start earning more money just in time for Christmas by visiting my website to learn how you can join my Pink Zebra team and earn additional income!

Be Successful With a Pink Zebra Business! | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant

When you think of working from home, what comes to mind? Waking up late? Staying in your pjs all day? While this would be a dream life, it is just that—a dream.

Working from home is actually hard work if you want to be successful at it. But it is also fun, as you do get to work on your own schedule.

Ready to take the first step? As a Pink Zebra consultant, I want to help give you the tools you need to make working from home a success!

Let's take a look at some ways you can increase your chances of being successful when working from the comfort of your own home:

Organization Is Key

As with anything, you need to be organized in order to improve your chances of success. When you work from home, you not only have your work-work staring you in the face, you also have your everyday housework in front of you, too!

Therefore, you need to stay organized so that you do not let your housework interfere with your time working—and vice versa! Create a schedule and to-do list for each week/day so that you can be sure to stay on schedule with both.

Have a Place Just for Work

Your kitchen is for eating. Your living room is for watching TV. Your bedroom is for sleeping. Every room has a purpose.

Therefore, you need a room where you can go to work. That way you can feel more like you are in work mode and less like you are at home.

Within your work room/space, you can keep all your office supplies and materials so that you are able to stay even more organized when at work. Plus, if you have other family members at home with you, then they can know that when you are in that room/space, you are at work.

Set Your Schedule

One of the great things about working from home is that you can create your own schedule. However, creating a schedule is a must. If you don't have a schedule to follow, then it can be really easy to always be working or doing housework.

Don't let the lines get blurred when it comes to work time and family time. Set office hours and take breaks each and every day to ensure you are completing tasks but also taking time away from work so you do feel like you have family time.

Is It Time to Redecorate? | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant

There comes a time when it is out with the old and in with the new. When was the last time you redecorated a room in your home, or the interior of your home in general?

The good news is that no matter how you decorate your home, there is a Pink Zebra Sprinkle and Shade to match!

Signs It Is Time to Redecorate

Sometimes you just need to change things up! Let’s take a look at signs it might be time to redecorate your home.

Does It Go with Your Vibe?

Do you have a dream board of what you want your home to look like? Does it match anything that is currently in your home right now? If not, then it is time to change things up.

Your home should be a reflection of you and your personality. Therefore, if you are more modern but your home is more edgy, then you probably don’t feel as comfortable in your own home as you should. Create a home that shouts you from the moment guests walk in the door!

Do You Wish Your Home Looked Like Someone Else’s Home?

You should be extremely proud of your home! Therefore, if you are looking at your home wishing your living room looked like a friend’s house and your bedroom looked like another person’s bedroom, then it is time to make your home how you want it, so that you can walk in and feel a sense of pride!

Does Your Home Feel Mismatched?

It is important to add your own flavor while also having a flow within each room in your home. As a result, if you feel a room in your home just has random things decorating it, then it is time to make it so that the room doesn’t feel so cluttered.

Remember, this is your home! Anything is possible when it comes to home decor, and it is time for you to change things up. A new season calls for new home decor.

How Can You Start Getting Your Kids Ready to Go Back to School? | Sandi Parkey Pink Zebra Independent Consultant

While we might still be enjoying the summer months, there is one thing that is coming up close behind us, which is a brand-new school year.

But this year, you’re gonna avoid the stress! Start preparing now to ease the burden when the first day of school gets closer. A little advanced prep work can make all the difference.

Get Back Into a Routine

Making the transition back into the school year is all about getting your kids back on a schedule and in a routine.

First, you want to make sure you get your child back into a sleep routine. Chances are great that your kids have been sleeping in later and staying up even later during the summer.

That can make the start of a school year fairly traumatic on our sleep!

Start preparing your child for school hours at least two to three weeks in advance of the start of school. Slowly reset bedtime and wake time to get him or her back on a normal routine.

Second, you also want to make sure you start other back-to-school routines, such as eating a healthy breakfast, packing a nutritious lunch and having family dinners together whenever possible.

In addition, set up a homework room for your children so that they have a designated place to go to complete homework during the week that is quiet and has all the supplies they need.

Finally, you want to start limiting screen time during the day so that your children are more focused on other things. Your children don’t need to be stuck on their phone, especially when their focus is about to be on their education.

As your children get ready to head back to school, are you looking for something that you can do for you? Learn how you can join my Pink Zebra team by visiting my website today!
