Schedule Some 'ME' Time Before the End of the Year!
Do you feel as though there aren’t enough hours in the day? Now that the holidays are right around the corner, you probably feel like you have even less time. However, if you want to keep your sanity throughout the remainder of the year, I need to ask you a favor. It’s going to sound crazy, but find your planner and schedule in some “me” time right now!
What About Me?
I know, I know. What am I thinking asking you to take a timeout for you? Especially with everything on your to-do list and preparing for the holidays. However, you need this! In order to be there for everyone else, you have to make time for yourself to recharge and refocus. By doing so, you’re able to tackle your seemingly endless to-do list with more energy and commitment. In addition, you’re less likely to make careless choices, and you might even find you save money on your tasks since you felt renewed after giving yourself a break.
It doesn’t need to be an entire day or a couple hours. The time for you just needs to be at least 20 minutes. However, the more time you give yourself—the better. Do you find you have more free time on Thursdays than any other day of the week? Then mark in your planner (in pen) some designated “me” time. Don’t cancel on yourself! During this time, do all things you. Read a book, take a nap, get a workout in, journal, get a massage, etc. Whatever you enjoy that helps you relax, use this time to do it!
