Create a Back-To-School Schedule with Work
The summer schedule is quickly coming to an end. Now, is the time to start thinking about how to make your weekly schedule not only work for you and your Pink Zebra career, but also how to make it successful for your family.
Lay It All Out
Developing a schedule for the new school year will help you to keep your family and your personal life on track without the chaos and stress. It will allow you to find time for your work life, while also being there for your children and their needs.
To create a schedule that works for everyone, be sure to sit down as a family - either at dinner or make an appointment for an afternoon - to talk about everyone's plans for the first semester of school. What are the hours your children are in school? Are they involved in any after-school activities? Do you already have plans during school breaks? Did you make certain appointments already? Do you have Pink Zebra events requested?
Then, by utilizing all the information you gather, schedule a mock-up of how the days will roughly go. For example, 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. can be getting ready for school, brushing teeth, etc. Next (7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.) can be eating breakfast, packing lunches, etc. Between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m., leave for school. Then, mark time for you to be able to get your work done, such as leaving an hour for phone calls, an hour for planning events, time for looking at inventory, etc. Finally, you can plan time in the evening for practices, dinner, bath and bed time, etc.
Do not forget to make some time for just you, though, at least one day a week in order to recharge your batteries. And, do not forget to schedule exercise at least 30 minutes a day, three days a week! You need to keep your health up for both your family and your work!
